Pictures and Poems

This week has been busy, I haven't had a lot of time to post. I'm waiting to hear back from my job interview from earlier this week and I have been applying for more jobs, just incase I don't get this one. But anyway, I did take some time to paint yesterday and an idea hit me. a friend of mine was like, "this looks like a children's book illustration" and the light bulb went off. I'm not the most patient to write a whole book, or to want to make the art for a whole book, but I do like to write poetry. I thought to myself, what if I wrote a poem for my painting. and then the idea for pictures and poems was born. I've written four so far, for paintings that I have done. I will showcase one and I would love some feedback to see if anyone would read this, or if kids would actually like something like this? Poetry and art are two things that I love and to be able to combine them seems natural. well we will see? Here we go. Bears like to go fishing

I bet you are wishing

That you could

Come along too

He hops in my boat

We ride along the waves

Bear could eat fish

For days and days

AND DAYS!

Sometimes we sit

For hours

And wait

And wait

And wait

Aand wait

But then the moment comes

There is tugging on the fishing line

Bear is very hungry

And says

“These will be just fine”

Bear dos not like to wait

To get his fihsy from the bait

He eats them all

Saves none for me

Bears like to go fishing

Are you still wishing

That you could come along

Too?
